The regional manager office TANROADS – Kigoma on behalf of the chief executive TANROADS, intends to recruit suitable qualified and competent Tanzanian to fill the fallowing various vacancies in the regional on renewable contract terms in order to improve effectiveness and efficiency in road maintenance and exle load control operations in the region.

1.    JOB TITTLE: CIVIL ROAD TECHNICIAN (3 POSTS)
A. KEY QUALIFICATION
i.    The job holder must have a ordinary diploma in civil/ highway engineering {OD} full technician certificate {FTC}
ii.    Must be computer literate.
iii.    Must be fluent in both written and spoken Kiswahili and English language.
iv.    Two years’ experience.
v.    Not above 25 years
vi.    Must be Tanzania citizen.
B. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
The holder of this post who report to maintenance engineer will be responsible for:
i.    Inspects and reports on all designate roads monthly or at more fluent intervals in required.
ii.    Repairs and supervises monthly work programmers for pretty contractors undertaking maintenance works as directed by engineer.
iii.    Supervises bridge maintenance works as directs by engineer
iv.    Measure and certifies. For payment contract works.
v.    Certifies worksheet, delivery notes and similar documentation as directed engineer.
vi.    Prepare reports for engineer as required.
vii.    Preform such other related duties as may be assigned by engineer from time to time.

2.    JOB TITTLE: WEIGHBRIDGE OPERATORS-( 3POST)
A.    KEY QUALIFICATION
i.    The job holder must have a ordinary diploma in civil/ highway engineering {OD} full technician certificate {FTC}
ii.    Must be computer literate.
iii.    Must be fluent in both written and spoken Kiswahili and English languages.
iv.    Two years’ experience.
v.    Not above 25 years
vi.    Must be Tanzania citizen

B.    The holder of this post who report to maintenance engineer will be responsible for:
i.    Enforcing roads traffic axle load control by use of weighbridge scale.
ii.    Carrying out activities as described in the road traffic {maximum weight or vehicles} regulation 2001.
iii.    Recording all necessary particular regarding the motor vehicle being weighed.
iv.    Observing good customer care dignity and integrity.
v.    Reporting all matters of the respective shift to the shift in charge.
vi.    Preform such other related duties as may be assigned by engineer from time to time by the shift in charge.
